The Dinner Party in Print

Not so long ago, at a little house in Oxford, a series of parties began. All sorts of people were invited—the sorts who might never meet each other in a normal week, let alone during cocktail hour. This led to some very colourful get-togethers. People started talking, and nobody could get them to stop. They talked and talked all night long, sometimes well into the following day, and then came back to future parties in the hopes of talking some more. Jericho Wawa was born from the realization that this cross-section of the world leads to great ideas, and many of these conversations were simply too good, to funny, too important to be allowed to disappear at dawn. We decided to put them in print.

The Party Expands

In the spirit of the 18th century Republic of Letters, we’ve thrown open the doors and invited everybody in. This dinner party is universal, a quarterly journal for everyone with a thought to share. In it are essays, poems, stories, pictures, music, correspondence—even a rare language or two. Jericho Wawa brings in diverse authors united by bonds of friendship and the gum in each issue’s spine. So, in its 50 or so pages, you are cordially invited to meander through a soirée in print, delicately balanced between substance, levity, and style—a jovial outpost for a saturnine age—designed to lighten the heart even as it reaches for the depths of the soul.
